This was the 4th piece of my Part Of The Furniture series that began in 2020 during the pandemic. During this time I became fascinated with the idea of "home" life, albeit more often a fantasy idea of regal, decorative interiors, or the outdoors and wildlife merging into our indoors due to being confined to a small living space. 

Sitting on the sofa or staring at the walls for weeks on end in reality was a pretty mundane existence at best, and at times it did feel like we had literally merged with the space that we were living in. 

Part Of The Furniture is a playful take on the phrase; escaping the bland everyday  through a highly romanticised and exaggerated vision of still, solitary home life.
